Webinar Series

AI for OSINT Investigations

In this 4-part course, learners will gain a profound understanding of leveraging artificial intelligence tools and techniques to revolutionize their investigative processes. Learners will master basic AI principles and ChatGPT prompts, elevate their searching techniques with with instruction on advanced prompting, uncover the power of Perplexity.ai for data clarity, and craft custom language models for OSINT using LM Studio.

Part 1 | Fundamentals of Using AI for OSINT

Learning Objectives:

+ Understand the basic principles of artificial intelligence and their applications in open-source intelligence (OSINT).

+ Acquire skills in crafting simple and effective prompts for AI-driven information retrieval, with a focus on using ChatGPT.

+ Demonstrate the ability to use basic prompts with ChatGPT to effectively gather and analyze open-source data for OSINT purposes.

Part 2 | Advanced Prompting Techniques for OSINT

Learning Objectives

+ Master advanced prompting strategies to enhance the retrieval and analysis of information from AI models in OSINT settings.

+ Develop complex prompts that incorporate multi-turn interactions, conditional logic, and nuanced information extraction.

+ Apply and assess advanced prompting techniques in real-world OSINT scenarios to improve data quality and operational efficiency.

Part 3 | Perplexity for OSINT

Learning Objectives

+ Explain the concept of perplexity in natural language processing and its relevance in assessing the performance of language models.

+ Utilize Perplexity.ai to measure and interpret the clarity and quality of language model outputs, enhancing OSINT tasks.

+ Implement Perplexity.ai in practical OSINT applications, using case studies to illustrate improvements in intelligence gathering accuracy and efficiency.

Part 4 | Developing AI Tools with LM Studio for OSINT

Learning Objectives

+ Learn to use Hugging Face’s LM Studio to develop specialized language models for OSINT research.

+ Acquire the skills to configure, train, and deploy language models using LM Studio, focusing on customizations specific to OSINT needs.

+ Initiate projects within LM Studio to build and maintain language models that effectively support OSINT tasks, considering ethical and legal implications.
